Back to the Best Coast!

I'm back! 5 weeks seemed to fly by. Italy was just as amazing as I remembered, and then some. I got to pig out on gelato and the pharmacies did not disappoint with their gluten-free selection! Ate lots of pasta and found a gf restaurant in Florence! Learnt a lot, there's still so much art and history that I didn't get the chance to see. I like to leave wherever I travel feeling like I didn't do everything I should've done, it gives me more of a reason to go back. I'm coming back from this trip a very different person though: a little too full of good food, unattached (now enjoying the rainbow after the storm), and with a little more ink ;)
There's so much I'm thankful for, and traveling always reminds me how lucky I am to live where I do, and that I have some amazing friends and family. I believe everything happens for a reason, and the best things always happen after the worst. Once you're through a tough spot, everything looks a little brighter from the other side.
Lots of love to my Euro-family! I'm so glad to have more great people in my life!
Here's some choice photos from the trip; didn't take a lot this time (was too busy eating gelato!)
So good to be home! Missed everyone!

A Late Alliteration & An Apology

So so sorry I missed Alliteration Wednesday (and Thursday). Yesterday just got a little busy. On the bright side I got to see the 25th Anniversary show for Ballet BC, which I liked 75% percent of. A couple of my favourite choreographers, and the dancers looked fantastic, 15 of them! A big improvement from their cut-backs last year.
And another silver lining, the semester is over! Finally! I won't celebrate too obnoxiously, I know there are many who have not even begun their exams. The best of luck to everyone, you've worked so hard this is just the last hurdle until you can take up a permanent beach residence, and cool drinks on patios.
To make up for missing my Alliteration Wednesday, I thought I'd do more than items that I love.
I believe today is the letter E. Gonna try and just list as many things that are awesome that begins with D. Annnd go!

Earrings
Elmo (yeah from Sesame St.)

Planet Earth. The best sick/rainy/sunny/lazy/anykindof day movies. they are totally, ohhh EPIC. (two E's in one topic). Yeah I'm that extraordinary today. Maybe even a little excessive? Elusive? Eloquent. Ahh Exceptional.
I think I've fallen in love with thesaurus.com. Writing will never be the same. Might even get a little eccentric.

Alright maybe I got a little carried away.
Hope you enjoyed this  delayed Alliteration Wednesday aka Friday.

Photo Picks

What's wrong with a little visual indulgence? A little beach wishing, dress envy, accessory jealousy, and maybe a mystery locale, too. Have a great Saturday!

Sunday, and some things I love

It's another lazy Sunday, and I've resigned myself to a little bit of housewifing (not in spite of the upcoming International Women's Day on the 8th.), dog walking and amazon-ing. It's the end of another week, and I've been missing my other half a lot lately. Some weeks fly by, but knowing I'm not seeing him for a few more seems to drag out the days. We rock at Sunday mornings. Pancakes (wheat free of course) have become our homage to How I Met Your Mother ritual, as well as dog walks along Spanish Banks, and often sushi. I know it's totally cliche to say you feel more complete when you're with that special person, but when it comes to matters of the heart, nothing else matters. It's times like this, and they're fairly often, that I feel ready beyond my youth to experience things I have not the financial or educational means to do. In light of that, I know these are the beginnings of The Years, and I intend to enjoy them. On that note, some things that have made me smile and keep my little heart company when my Love cannot.

I'm loving these terrariums in jars lately. I don't have the slightest inkling of a green thumb but these seem pretty self sustaining. And very cute; almost like having a little bit of another world.

I love candles. These ones are so unique!

I love statement rings. Nothing too big or gaudy, or too sparkly. I'd rather something in metal that's unique than an ostentatious stone.

4th Day of St. Valentine's

It's been a bit of a hectic day, so here's some pictures of animals kissing. It's cute and love-themed.
Enjoy! <3

Ended with a beluga..'cause they're amazing, gentle creatures with hearts of gold and enough blubber to fuel enough lamps for 200 Chanukahs. (I have no idea if that is true. But roughly 80% of facts are false anyway)

Sunday Housewifing

Sunday Housewifing, another success. Vacuumed, dishes done, drank copious amounts of coffee and watched backtobacktobacktoback SATC. And I might as well have a toddler, considering my dog is the canine equivalent. Throwing-up. Twice. In two days. Same spot on the bed. My duvet cover is undoubtedly upset about this...a new one might be needed.
To cheer myself up from this infantile-infused Hell, I looked up some gorgeous home ideas that would be really awesome. A big bedroom lust I have is a closet. As I have about half of one...So here are some lovely closets that I would trade my snowglobe from Paris for. (FYI I love that thing)
